Image Thumbnail Viewer II does not show under IE 8.0

3) Describe problem: Hi sir, I would like to try this code on my website. The weird thing is that it works perfectly under firefox browser, but when i switch to I.E. it doesn't work. The image does not pop on the loadarea in my IE 8.0. When I use IE 8.0 to browse script URL http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/thumbnail2.htm, it did not work as well. However, I tried to navigate to other user's page, for example, http://amysrabbitranch.com/CreeksideGraphics/Photography-landscape.html, their images show properly from their site using IE 8.0. Please kindly advise if there is any possible cause of this issue. Thank you very much.

Hmm strange. I can confirm the enlarged images don't show in IE8 even on the DD demo page, but only online. If I run it offline it does work. Just a stab, but what happens if you remove the code in red below from the script in the HEAD section of your page:

It works after i remove defer="defer" :D

Do you know why it affect the outcome in IE8?

The defer attribute is an IE only thing, at least for now. It's a way of speeding up the initialization of scripts that would otherwise have wait until the onload event for the page fires. Apparently, in IE 8's case, it speeds it up too much.
