Need text displayed on a schedule

I have a client who wants the homepage to list the next 3 classes coming up, based on the day and time. I'm sure for a programmer this is pretty easy to do, but that's not me. Is there an existing script for this (I couldn't find one) or how expensive would it be to hire it out?
