3) Is it possible to resize the Image once selected?

The script looks very neat and I am looking to use it to display the photos on my website. I have a small thumbnail picture, which I have been able to reduce to the size required; however when I click on the image it opens at the Image File size (2160px x 1708px). This is naturally too big for the window.

Is there a method of resizing this within the script?

Sure, try the below modified .js file. Then within your image tag, insert a new rev attribute that specifies the desired dimensions for the enlarged image:
