View Full Version : Dynamic <form><option> Dropmenu

I am attempting to create a dynamic dropmenu, whereby 2 or more menus are made available (preferably, the ones that are not yet selected being disabled / greyed out) and as you select from the first dropmenu and each concurrent menu thereof, it dynamically passes objects or selections for the next menu relative to the first menu item selected.

On selection of the final <option> menu, the clicked <input> button then takes the visitor to the page/download relative to ALL dropmenu selections.

I have Googled my way around and can't find anything concrete enough to assist me with this endeavor other than these two snippets:

1) possible JavaScript source for this could be dynpopup.js
2) the perfect example for this can be found at: http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/ke.kb.sp?kbb&&&usedCars;slp
...top-left, "Get Blue Book Values"...but they seem to have hidden their source from prying eyes. :-p

I know I've seen this used several times, but for the life of me, can't seem to locate any of these sources now that I actually want to use it. :-)

Any help or URL's would be greatly appreciated.

You can use this script (http://dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex16/chainedselects/index.htm).
that should work...
