Java 3D tutorials

Hello everyone,

I have some experience with Java and am looking for a good tutorial or book, about Java3D, that people have tried with good success. I have followed a few Hello3DWorld tutorials but most do not explain the process or individual parts to the extent that I am looking for.

And yes I know I should probably look into OpenGL, my professor said it would be best, but I have taken a liking to Java and wanted to see what Sun has come up with.

I guess a book on the subject would be best so any suggestions would be nice.:)
