search engine intergration problems

hello out there, i just finished designing & uploading a SITE(www.cesdnet.org) i used a Dream Weaver template to do the design, a rather large site 40 plus pages.
but here's the problem: when i run a search from Google or yahoo, nothing!!!
instead of bringing up hits for MY site -www.cesdnet.org- it brings up stuff like cednet, esdnet and the likes. re-did my <meta> tags 3 different time but still nothing. Here's a sample of the <meta> tage in use currently:

i would really appreciate it if some one could look up the site's code, and telll me where went wrong.

There's nothing wrong with your code.
Search engines aren't magically told to include your page by meta tags. In fact, meta tags are the old way to make your page search engine friendly. These days the big search engines skip past them (or maybe consider them briefly), and actually analyze the content of your pages.

The main thing that determines your rank on google (etc) is popularity. If your site is new, then your site will not show up near the top (maybe not at all for a while until the search engines find it). And even once it does start showing up, it won't be near the top until it becomes a popular result. There's no way to fake that.

To speed the process, you can submit your site to google (and maybe other search engines).

You can keep the meta tags-- they won't hurt. They may help for smaller (local/regional) search engines also. (But google WILL penalize you if the meta tags don't match the content-- if you're trying to trick search engines, not that I'm suggesting you are.)


More specifically, I just searched for your domain name on google. That's the real check to see if your website is listed-- and it's not. I would suggest going through their process of submitting your site. After that google will do the rest.
