Is it possible to replace the black image the slide show starts with?

3) Describe problem:
It seems to me that the slideshow starts with a black image, which then fades into the first image of the gallery. Since I have a pretty slow fadeduration (2000), The black image is visible for quite a while before the first image appears.
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) this is different from the loader.gif image, because that is displayed before the black image is displayed.

Is there a possibility to replace this black image with my own?
