Hey,

Can somebody running Windows Vista go the the link below and type in vista and then whatever browser your using?

It's just a simple script that saves the user agent as a text file for future reference, no harm no personal info. The files are saved: date_random number. Inside: user agent - your input for os and browser.

ANYBODY that wants to go ahead it's fast it just helps me later on. Linux, Mac, Windows it's all welcome. Please go ahead.

Currently have:
Windows 2000, XP, 7 and Mac OS X.

Browsers: Firefox on all the Windows', Safari on the Mac.

EDIT: I got what I needed thank you everyone!

Thanks.
Tim

EDIT: No need to let me know you did it, if you don't wanna. I'll find it.

Just added three: safari on osx (you had that, but won't hurt), ff on osx and safari on iphone.

By the way: remember that whatever you're using this for (some sort of browser-oriented content), this can be useful but only as a way to help make things fit if you do know what browser someone is using. It won't ever be entirely reliable because you won't ever have all possible browser strings stored, and because it may not be accurately sent by all browsers/users.

Thanks! Yeah I'm using it for a page to select the correct downloads available for a system nothing major it will tell what it thinks you are and if it gets it wrong/doesn't know you can pick. Thanks again that's alot of help.

Sure, good luck. By the way, there are databases of user agent strings if you just want to find them there. But this will work, if you don't need a complete list.

I didn't even figure to look it actually started more as fun then I realized it could be useful and forgot the whole step of looking...oops. And I actually didn't need more than Windows, but it might be useful in the future to have them all. Well I see no reason to stop, if anyones running Ubuntu or another Linux please take a visit.

Maybe I'll build my own mini-database. I've always been a do it yourself kinda guy haha.

EDIT: Or older Windows versions like ME, 98, or 95 could take a visit for their string.
