probably things even you would cringe at.
are all moderators so patronzing.

In jQuery this is dealt with by creating a single 'safe' object called 'data'

This is obviously not safe by your definition.

Feel free to use your own images or modify the code as you require or use your own solution.

you would be more construtive if you provided your own solution

though as a moderator I have some leeway in interpreting it, and a voice in determining it. DD has final say.

have you considered that this is because you programing standards are not always correct.

I could be more patronizing, but I'm actually trying to be of help. It appears you have no stomach for constructive criticism. What I say about coding is correct. I even noted that the jQuery method is not really 'safe', and why. I hope you were able to understand how it is safer than what you are doing and that I have (also admittedly in my last post) done in the past.

Right now I think I can do more by offering suggestions, rather than coding the thing myself. My first post in this thread was pretty much necessary to get the ball rolling, which you then took over from. Had you not, I probably would have offered my own solution. As it was though you offered one that did not deal with background images as requested by the poster. Compared to that, all of the rest of my sound advice is of relatively little importance.

If you want to continue this discussion in a PM, feel free. For now I'm moving this part of it to the lounge and closing it. It's way off topic for this thread.
