1) Script Title: Simple Controls Gallery

3) Describe problem: I integrated the simple controls gallery into multiple pages of our website. It works in Chrome, Safari, & Firefox but not Internet Explorer. If I change the security settings, or disable and then enable javascript it will work but I have to do that every time I visit each page in internet explorer. This script DOES work with IE when viewing the sample on the DD page. I have compared the code between pages, browsed the forums, and can't find any conflicts. Please help ASAP! Thanks.

This:


<div id="simplegallery1"></div>

Technically doesn't exist because it is outside the structure of the table:


<tr>

<div id="simplegallery1"></div>

</tr>


See? there is no td, just a tr. Other browsers are error correcting this for you.

So you need to make that:


<tr>

<td><div id="simplegallery1"></div></td>

</tr>

But then it won't be centered, so you need to make that:


<tr>

<td><div id="simplegallery1" style="margin:0 auto;"></div></td>

</tr>

But that still won't center it in IE, so you also need to change the DOCTYPE (first thing at the top of the page's source code) from:


<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">


to:


<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

In an unrelated matter, you have an unclosed a tag here:


<td><a href="/contact-us.php"><b>TSA Architects, pllc</b></td>


It should be:


<td><a href="/contact-us.php"><b>TSA Architects, pllc</b></a></td>

This (unless corrected) may or may not cause other problems.

That worked perfectly. I suppose I was distracted by getting the header content right that I wasn't looking in the body. Thanks. Very thorough, I appreciate it.

Hi,
I've the same problem.. I'm using simplegallery on my website and it works with any browsers except Internet Explorer...
I can't solve with the above solution you give to the other user.

I just checked, looks the same in IE and others here. Perhaps you just need to clear the browser's cache.

If you want more help, please start a new thread.
