ajax name

hello,

i want some help in ajax, my problem is

when i type any letter in my textbox i have to get the names starting with that letter without usig databse, for example if we type a letter in gmail username we get the names that starts with that letter. I want in that manner. one more thing i dont want it by using database.
if any one knows plz help me out .
