I am looking for a free chat service. Not too big like phpfreechat.net (http://www.phpfreechat.net), but more like on Olark (http://www.olark.com/portal/).

Any suggestions, please ?

do you mean the physical size of the chat window? You can probably accomplish that through a custom stylesheet (a brief overview is here (http://www.phpfreechat.net/customize)).

not really. I've never done much with chat. quick search finds http://www.phpopenchat.org/, http://www.alilg.com/software/free-php-ajax-chat/, other leads (http://www.opensourcescripts.com/dir/PHP/Chat/)
