Animated Collapsible DIV automatically retracts in IE8

3) Describe problem: Works fine in FF and IE7, but in IE8 the DIV will expand to the length of the page and then immediately retract.

The issue I believe has to do with the fact that you're collapsing table cells, instead of regular DIV content. The technique used in Animated Collapsible script doesn't work well for this, at least in IE. I'm sure there are scripts tailored to expand/ collapse table cells. To stick to this script though, you'll need to modify the structure of your content to be DIVs instead.
