Simple Controls Gallery works in Firefox but not Internet Explorer

3) Describe problem: Let me first preface by saying I am better than a beginner, but hardly an expert when it comes to java script coding. I did my best to copy the code into my website and am very happy with how it works in Firefox, but it will not work in IE7. There is an error with the imagearray coding in IE7 that says "Error: 'imagearray[...] 0' is null or not an object."

I have not made any changes to the simplegallery.js script except to modify the font size and navpanel size. After doing so, it still works great in Firefox.

I also don't understand how I can post the navigation buttons like prev next play and pause. Do I use my own images and name them the same as what is in the script?

Just started over again, carefully pasting the code in, bit by bit, making sure I tested each change to be sure it worked in both IE and FF. Everything works now, including the play and pause buttons! Yay!

Now I'll be running out to Starbucks to treat myself for my accomplishment!

Just fyi, the issue was with the last comma that followed the last array element of your images:

IE doesn't permit a comma following the last element of an array such as in this case.

Removing a comma would have been a lot quicker than redoing all the coding! :rolleyes: Oh, well! Next time, I'll try to be more patient.

I had the same problem with my use of the script, the comma on the last array element. A Google search got me to this thread. Now my coding is fixed and running fine. Thank you very much. I love the script as a new way to display large quanitities of images from a day of shooting pictures. Really nice implementation of slideshow but I have the same problem - works on Mac and Windows with all browsers but not IE8 on PC. Also it looks like other people's sites are not working for me - eg example above streetcarmike.
