facebox showing left in IE [Archive]

1) Script Title: facebox

3) Describe problem:

The facebox script looks great in Firefox, but when viewed in IE it shows to the left of the screen not the centre. It also loses its style (font, font-color etc) Any ideas to what may be causing this??

The author of the facebox script states a doctype declaration (the very first three lines of the code) that is supposed to go at the very top of your page, not together with the rest of the code.

The doctype must be the very first thing in your page's source in order for it to take effect in IE. So something like:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en">
