How to disable an external URL and go local?

As you'll notice I am new to flash/as....
I've got a free flash web template and I am having problems trying to call images from my local folders...
In the actionscript the template website calls these images from an external URL which loads template images to the swf image gallery....I would like to get rid of that external link, and instead be able to load my gallery with images from my local folders...
I'm sure it would be easy to be solved if I had any actionscript knowledge....but that's not the case here....LOL
