how to protect my own picture from copying them

1- You can't protect your website at all. If I can see it, I can steal it.

The Professor is right, however... just as one can lock the front door to keep out the casual visitor/intruder, but not the determined burglar, one can use various methods to dissuade the casual taking of images.
There are scripts which prevent this, and scripts which disable other <right click> options. However, my experience is that most of these scripts are browser-specific and can be circumvented by simply using an alternative browser.
Another common option: if your images are commercial quality is to offer a low-res or heavily-watermarked version for previewing.
The caveat is that if the image is indeed desirable, someone will simply acquire the clean version and p2p it. ;)
