View Full Version : Resolved Smooth Navigation Shadow problem in IE

1) Script Title: Smooth Navigational Menu (v1.3)

2) Script URL (on DD):

3) Describe problem:

This problem is with respect to the horizontal menu bar.
In Firefox the shadowing works perfectly. In IE the shadowing remains after you move off the selection and displays as a gray box below the menu bar.

Please see website www.TheGorskiFirm.com

In the .js file I tried changing the following "offsetx" and "offsety" to zero and changed the "enabled:true" to "enabled:false" but the shadow still appears in IE:

transition: {overtime:300, outtime:300}, //duration of slide in/ out animation, in milliseconds
shadow: {enabled:true, offsetx:5, offsety:5},

How can I either fix this IE issue or remove it from IE all together. Any help is appreciated.

This is a known issue, mainly in IE6. Is that the browser you're referring to? BTW, disabling the shadow should fix the problem:

shadow: {enabled:false, offsetx:5, offsety:5},

Thanks DD Admin for your reply. Unfortunately changing the enabled to false by itself did not work for me. The problem was appearing in IE 8.

However, I got it to work by using your recommendation along with changing

if (smoothmenu.shadow.enabled){

if (smoothmenu.shadow.disabled){

Thanks again,
