I recently installed The Apache 1.3 HTTP server. I configured it so the default document root would be c:/program files/apache/wwwroot/. Can I delete their default root, which is c:/program files/apache/htdocs/? All there is in there is a manual folder and some index files.

Yes, you can erase that folder without a problem.
