Hi,
I'd like to add the dynamic countdown to a wedding website ( http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex6/dhtmlcount.htm ). Is it possible to change the background colour to #CC3333 and the text to white?
THanks
Ben

Here's a modified version of the script:
<script type="text/javascript">

function setcountdown(theyear,themonth,theday){
yr=theyear;mo=themonth;da=theday
}

//STEP 1: Configure the countdown-to date, in the format year, month, day:
setcountdown(2004,12,25)
//STEP 2: Change the two text below to reflect the occasion, and message to display on that occasion, respectively
var occasion="Christmas!"
var message_on_occasion="Merry Christmas!"
//STEP 3: Configure the below 5 variables to set the width, height, background color, and text style of the countdown area
var countdownwidth='480px'
var countdownheight='20px'
var countdownbgcolor='#CC3333'
var countdowntext='#FFFFFF'
var opentags='<font face="Verdana"><small>'

Has anyone any ideas as to how i can specifically set the font size for this script rather than just using small? IE treats the script differently to Firefox so want to make sure it does what i want.
Many thanks
Ben

Replace these lines:
var opentags='<font face="Verdana"><small>'
var closetags='</small></font>'
With this (You could use CSS here, but seeing as the script is living in the dark ages..)
var opentags='<font face="Verdana" size="10px">'
var closetags='</font>'
cr3
/ed: Of course, if you want to do it with css, replace these lines instead:
if (document.all||document.getElementById)
document.write('<span id="countdownie" style="width:'+countdownwidth+'; background-color:'+countdownbgcolor+'; color:'+countdowntext+'"></span>')
Replace with
if (document.all||document.getElementById)
document.write('<span id="countdownie" style="font-size:10px; width:'+countdownwidth+'; background-color:'+countdownbgcolor+'; color:'+countdowntext+'"></span>')
Cr3. font-size and px just don't mix. In fact, just about nothing mixes with px. Use ems or pts.
