Starting PowerPoint 2003 - have to wait for VS 2008 to configure itself

Hi all,

I have the Visual Studio 2008 and its Service Pack 2 installed, and now whenever I try to open PowerPoint 2003, I have to sit through about 5 minutes of "Visual Studio 2008 ENU is configuring". If I press cancel, the dialog box will pop up three or four times again before I could enter PowerPoint.

Google does not provide me any answer. Does anyone here know what is going on? My Office already has SP2 installed as well.

Use OpenOffice. That's my only suggestion. get away from Microsoft, and you'll be amazed at what you can do! That's what I did. :p

I noticed that on a public computer I was using, every time it would have to configure Office, and Cancel just froze the computer and I'd have to hard-restart it...

[sigh] If only everyone use Linux and MAC... :)
