Need Help Loading Favicon

I am having trouble when I save mydynamic drive generated favicon I have two choices ...to save it to Windows Photo Gallery or Corel Paintshop...both seem to have issues, paintshop adds .png ext to favicon.ico and the ftp in wordpress doesn't like the windows photo gallery. Any suggestions?

I just save it as "favicon.ico" to my scripts directory and FTP it to the web site direct from there using my FTP agent.

You need to save it as a file on your computer. This is something you can control in your browser, by choosing to "save file" rather than "open with..."

I am using windows (unfortunately) and windows saves it but converts it at the same time changing the favicons configuration.

I use windows as well, but if on the save screen you change the default to 'all files', it will allow you to save it as favicon.ico
