View Full Version : Resolved Question about ddsmoothmenu script

04-26-2009, 07:27 PM
1) Script Title: ddsmoothmenu

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/ddsmoothmenu.htm

3) Describe problem: I would like to position the top level menu items vertically instead of horizontaly. Can I do that by editing either the css of the js file?
Alternatively, I could just leave one top level item (as a header) and put all my categories as second level items. BUT, in this case I would like the second level items to be always visible... How can I do that?

Thank you for your time.

There's no easy way to do that at the moment with this script unfortunately. You can probably extend Nested Side Bar Menu (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/style/csslibrary/item/nested_side_bar_menu/) to use jQuery and throw in a few transition effects rather easily. I do have plans to eventually release a vertical version of Smooth Navigational Menu.

Well I think I will use the Nested Slide menu and maybe try to add some transition, though I do not have enough time during my current project...
Anyway thank you very much for your quick reply, and I am looking forward to the vertical version of the Smooth menu!

Best regards,
