How to make elements disappear with jQuery

Hi. Look here:

Problem:

I need for those boxes to dissapear on their own after a certain amount of time... preferably controlled by an event listener that detects no mousein/over on the popup div...

How/where would I add this function to the script - or should I add it to the html file separately?
