Step Carousel Auto Play starts before images load

3) Describe problem:
I have set up the Step Carousel to auto play through a series of large images. However, the Carousel starts playing before the first image finishes loading. Is there a way to force the auto play not to play until the page finishes loading?

If so, what does the code look like, and where do I put it?
