Hello,

I would like to make a website with photo galleries like on this one
http://www.elliotterwitt.com/lang/en/index.html.

I know nothing about flash coding, but it seems that different DD scripts could achieve together a similar result (Smooth Navigational Menu + Swiss Army Image Slideshow + CMotion Image Gallery...).

Which way would you recommand to me ?

You're right, you don't need Flash to do this. I'd say it's probably a waste of Flash. JavaScript does it just fine.

The scripts you mentioned could be used. There are plenty more out there. I think using a JavaScript framework like jQuery would be a great help. There are plugins for jQuery that mimic that gallery.

The most crucial, I think would be to come up with a way that's manageable. Undoubtedly, you'll want to add/remove images in the gallery over time. I'd recommend using a decent CMS. In my book, that means ExpressionEngine (http://www.expressionengine.com/index.php?affiliate=visualbinary).

So I will do it in javascript :-)
For non specialists like me the DD website and scripts seems more easy to use, even if Snookerman already helped me one or two times with the jQuery library.

For adding/removing pictures on my website I actually modify the pages with Dreamweaver and transfer them with Filezilla. I didn't know about ExpressionEngine.

Thanks
