I have used an iframe in my web page that is activated by clicking the menu buttons. What I would like to do is have the information under the home button in the iframe when the index page opens. Then the user can change the info in the iframe by selecting whichever topic on the nav bar they would like to know about.

I am pretty new to all this so any help would be appreciated also if I am to place code somewhere, letting me know where would help also ....like I said new to the coding side of web design.

I'm not sure I understand the question. It sounds like you want to have a page load into the iframe when the page containing the iframe loads. If so, just give the iframe the src attribute for that page.

So, say you have index.htm, and on it you have an iframe. You want f1.htm to display in this iframe as soon as the index page loads. Just make your iframe like so:

<iframe src="f1.htm"></iframe>
