I am not sure whether this is the right forum, but if I put keywords in tables and frames, can search engines recognize them? Are they searchable?
Your help is very much appreciated,
Grace

What do you mean by keywords the meta tag or just text phrases?

I mean keywords in text. We are using Expression Web 2 to redesign our website, and it seems Expression put everything into tables. We want to create a website that is high ranking in organic search. Since Expression put everything(pictures, links, text, etc.) into tables, we are concerned how it effects our searchability.
Yes, search engines will pick that up.. But I suggest not using tables.

Do you have any website development tools you can recommend other than Expression Web?
Not that don't use tables. I suggest making the layout yourself with divs. Do you have a link to your page so I can see if its a tough layout to make?

I managed to move the text before the navigation section for the searchability by using rowspan. Here is the rough design of our new website. Again, our goal is to design the website to be at the 1st page in search engines.

Thanks. Where can I find them? I know there are plenty of articles on subject matters out there, but which one you would recommend?
Just search around google. All of them are great. ;D
