Hello there.
I have a big problem. I do not understand much of html an the scripts. I built the page with a hompagemaker. The only thing is, that if i visiti the page from different pc the page doesnt fit in the screen, even the resolution is the same as seted. 1024 x 768.
Exist any script for this problem??? I mean, a script that fits the url on the resolution from our visitors.
Many many thanks for your solutions

Many thanks.
The url is www.ofc-cheerleader.de
I have done this page with 3 frames and for example. if i visiti the page from my sister desktop, the lower frame appears with a scrollbar, on the uper frame i see only the first line of flashbuttons, in the middle frame some pages appears complete some not. also I have deactivated the scrollbar for the middle frame, so the viewers cannot scroll.

Ok. First of all please excuse my english.
How I told, I made the page with Homepagemaker.
In the menue to set the frames i set up-frame on 125, middle-frame on 423, up-frame-100.
Uper-Frame contains the navigation also i deactivated the scrollfunction.
Middle-Frame contains the pages home, about, etc. etc. The images in this area (backgroung-images) are sized in 390x1024.
The main problem i have is, that some viewers doesnt see complet the startpage and on the other pages they have to scroll. The only pages to scroll are, at the moment, seniors and juniors.
But in some cases, if viewers click on a picturelink of seniors or juniors, some page must be scrolled to view the content and some not, but the size of the pictures and the background is the same for all.
I think i would need 3 scripts. 1 to put in the navigation-frame, one for the pages in the middle-frame and the last for the logo-frame.
Would be gratefull if somebody could give me a solution or some tips how to make it better.
Many Thanks
You should use percentages for frames, not absolute pixel values.

Hi there, i set my page to be at 1024 X 768 resolution. However, i got myself a new rig which is 16:9 widescreen (1280 X 800). Any script for me to "centralise" the page horizontally somewhat like google? Coz now they are lying somewhere off centre to the left... Thankx.
You shouldn't really "set" a page at any resolution. This breaks the page for other browsers and/or resolutions.
To do what you're thinking of, put <div align="center"> after your <body> tag, and </div> before your </body> tag. However, a better solution would be to not use absolute values in your page.

I wrote a script for people who are currently wedded to this idea of absolute positioning, have recently discovered that their page looks awful in any other window size than what they wrote it for, and do not currently want to totally rewrite their page. The script is posted in these forums at the link included in my previous post in this thread. That being put forth, Twey is basically right. You shouldn't use absolute positioning to layout your page, it is for special effects.

Ahh... maybe i expressed it wrongly, it isn't really "set at a resolution of 1024 X 768" rather it is "best configured for viewing at 1024 X 768".
The <div align="center"> way didn't work when i put it under my <body> tag.
anybody can help? part of the source code is as below: (Sorry if it's a bit too long)
<body>
<script language="JavaScript1.2">
if (document.all||document.getElementById)
document.body.style.background="url('http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v228/tykoh/Northlight1.jpg') black no-repeat fixed"
</script>
</style>
<title>[[Blog]]<<--{tyKoh's}-->></title>
<SCRIPT>
var repeat=1 //enter 0 to not repeat scrolling after 1 run, othersise, enter 1
var title=document.title
var leng=title.length
var start=1
function titlemove() {
titl=title.substring(start, leng) + title.substring(0, start)
document.title=titl
start++
if (start==leng+1) {
start=0
if (repeat==0)
return
}
setTimeout("titlemove()",140)
}
if (document.title)
titlemove()

There are far too many errors on this page. If it's at all feasible, I suggest rewriting it from scratch.
When you write your code, try to make it validate with this (http://validator.w3.org/).
