Event reminder

Hi, I am running a eshop in PHP. I wonder if there is an event reminder script out there that will work with PHP. What I want is my customers can set up an event such as their wife's birthday, and the script will automatically send out an email like say 3 days in advance to remind them for the event so that they will not forget to buy gifts...

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
