.htaccess and .htpasswd

how do i make those files my pc says when i try to name it "you must type a file name"

if some one could post some blank ones with nothing in them that would be great!!!! :D :D

Use DOS, it's not quite so stupid.

Start->Run cmd
C:\> cd C:\Path\To\File
C:\Path\To\File> type nul > .htaccess
C:\Path\To\File> type nul > .htpasswd
C:\Path\To\File> exit

This might work. If not, create it with a different name and rename it on the server.
