1) Script Title:

2) Script URL (on DD): http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/chrome/index.htm

3) Describe problem:
hi - i am new here, so forgive me if i have put this post in the wrong place

i have downloaded the zip file (on the above link)
modified the menu codes properly

i can't find out where to insert the code into my index.html (from the above link or the downloads - spent a couple of hours trying to work it out)
do i insert it into the body of the index.html?? or the head??

with the chrome.js (from the download) - where do i put that into my webpage - maybe each subdirectory , or just the root directory, or does it have it's own directory??

and last-but not least - there is a file that had a .css extension (on the download it is under the chrometheme folder) - do i need to upload this as well?? same place as chrome.js??

i am using just the basic at the moment :) and not going for a theme until i get the menu working :) but i will be using it soon....

i thank you for your time with looking at this - this looks like an absolutely fantastic menu system:):)

maybe dynamic drive could put a couple of sentences in the webpage
just telling you what to do with the code and which specific files to upload - and to where........

just an idea, maybe it does tell me, but i couldn't find it:)

thanks for your time

administrator - please feel free to change the title, i couldn't think of what to put

Welcome to the forums. Yep, you need to upload the .js and .css files contained in the zip file as well. Inside the zip file check out the source for demo.htm. Copy its contents to your own page. Notice how the code references a .css and .js file in two sub directories:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="chrometheme/chromestyle.css" />

<script type="text/javascript" src="chromejs/chrome.js">

* Chrome CSS Drop Down Menu- (c) Dynamic Drive DHTML code library (www.dynamicdrive.com)
* This notice MUST stay intact for legal use
* Visit Dynamic Drive at http://www.dynamicdrive.com/ for full source code

This means the two files need to be uploaded by default to those two sub directories (relative to the page containing the menu) on your site.

thankyou, just to clarify - incase it is useful to anyone else..

you need to upload everything that was downloaded - except demo.htm

take careful note to use the code for demo.htm - which section is in the head and in the body...

hope this helps

thanks for your reply admin
