Hello all
I was hoping to use "Featured Content Slider v2.4" or other ? to display some associated information within a div, and be able to select the content or auto scroll through with this script. So far so good. Now I was hoping to get some input as to what scripts are around to help positioning and control these divs on a page.
I have two styles of user display in mind :
1. Have 4 separate 1/4 page divs
2. Have 1 horizontal 1/2 page and 2 x 1/4 page divs.
The content of each div would be able to scrol through: Trend image or a Table of Data.
User Experience:
a) First step is to be able to make the div dragable and snap into location. i.e. on the 4x1/4 page version if you move the top LHS div into the lower RHS position the divs would just swap over.
On the 1x1/2 and 2 x 1/4 div page you could swap the 1/4 divs side to side and if you draged the 1/2 page div from the bottom to the top the two 1/4 screen divs would go underneath it.
b) Be able to reload a selected div with new content. I should be OK with this one....using ajax and the standard Featured Content Slider v2.4 controls.
c) Be able to delete a div and add a new one from a side menu. i.e. delete two 1/4 page divs and replace them with a 1/2 page div. again I think I should be ok with the standard Featured Content Slider v2.4 controls.
An example of my current page may assist in visuallising the type of content and layout I am trying to achieve. At this stage the divs are fixed see: www.rjconway.homeip.net
If you know of any scripts that may assist in this layout I would welcome the input plus suggested mods to the GUI operation that may make it easier to use or achieve this function. I want to try and keep the site "fast" thus do not really want to load up my pages with an enormous amounts of javascript, so I'm also trying to keep it simple.
Cheers
