help troubleshooting custom myspace css

i'm having too many problems to list at once, so i'll just start with two:

1. why isn't my header showing up?
2. why aren't the coordinates of many elements where they should be?

i pretty much used radiohead's profile (http://www.myspace.com/radiohead) as a starting point, copying the css verbatim, and substituting my own images and colors. their page looks perfect, mine is all messed up.

That's because you have heaps of errors in your css. If something that is being targeted is not an element but rather an id or class value it has to begin with a number sign (#) or a period (.) respectively. Also, you should wrap each piece of code in style tags. Just put all the code together and wrap it once in style tags. I suggest you google around for css tutorials and that you validate your code to spot errors:
