View Full Version : Gradual Element Fader - Want to fade out instead of fade in

1) Script Title: Gradual Element Fader

2) Script URL (on DD):

3) Describe problem:
This script starts with a faded image and, upon mouseover, makes it brighter. I'm wondering if there is a way to reverse this. That is, have the original image be normal, and upon mouseover, have it fade.

In other words, this script fades in and I'm wondering if it can be tweaked to fade out...or if there is another script that does that.

thank you

Thank you for the reply. I checked out the post you linked and made the changes suggested. The result is that it sort of worked. Here is the page:

I'm trying to get the fade out effect on the left side thumbnails. Currently, I only have the first four thumbnails (the first row) activated with the effect. On both IE and Firefox the first four pictures are loading already faded. Upon mouseover, they do indeed go back to 100% opacity, and then the fade out effect works as I'd like.

I believe that they are loading with the whatever 'baseopacity' is set to. I'd like the base opacity to be 100% opacity and then fade on mouseover.

PS - It's also weird that the very first picture isn't reacting at all...but I'll deal with that later...

Thanks for your help.

Wow, sorry. My bad. I looked at the post you linked and changed a 0 to a 1 instead of actually changing the baseopacity line. Thanks so much for the help.
