Script to change image

I need a script that changes the image each month. I do not know how to do this, so give me some tutorials or anything that can help. What I am try to do is more advance, but I need to start with the basic so I understand how it works.

Do you want PHP or Javascript? PHP is always easier for me. xD Just gimme a post when you've decided which to prefer. Javascript can be disabled - PHP can't.
