View Full Version : Help needed with Galleria and jCarousel

Hi everyone.

I'm using jQuery (Galleria and jCarousel) and need help with the following:

1. I'd like the carousel to be vertical and on the left of the page.
2. I'd like the image that appears to be on the right of the carousel.
3. The first image should be shown as soon as the page loads.
4. I'd like to remove the number from the image description (that appears when an image is shown).

My test page:

Galleria site: http://devkick.com/lab/galleria/
jCarousel site: http://sorgalla.com/jcarousel/

If you think you can help with any of these, i'd love to hear from you.

Ok, i've just read that back to myself, and I think I may be getting ahead of myself.

Basically, the main thing I can't seem to work out is how to make the carousel vertical. I've been looking through the jCarousel code and just can't seem to figure it out.

Would someone be able to take a look and offer some guidance please?

This might be an assumption, but the documentation that comes with jCarousel says there is a "vertical" configuration that you would put in the script tags at the top of the page as such:

<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery(document).ready(function() {
jQuery('#mycarousel').jcarousel({ vertical:true});

I am still working on integrating the two, so I am no great master at it yet, but I would start there. The other thing to do is look at the source code of the vertical example they have and design something around that. . . .

Hop that helps some. . .

I merged Jcarousel and Galleria so you can show different images with diferent sizes perfectly.

Even, the thumbnails cycle. In one or two vertical rows.
