I have a HP PAVILION DV9000 it had 2 FUJITSU 5400RPM 120GB DRIVES.The primary drive crashed and I reaplaced it with a SEAGATE MOMENTUS 7200.2 120 GB 7200RPM.When I install it my computer says no hard drive installed.I tried installing Vista and it went through the setup but at the end it says no hard drives found.I took out my slave drive and installed windows on it and it work fine but I really wanted to use the New hard drive. So does anyone have any question on setting up my new Seagate momentus drive.I want to use it as the primary and put the Fujitsu back to being the slave drive. Please help

Hi have you got a recovery cd/dvd that come with the laptop with your windows OS or was it a OME or org vista?
If so install the HDD then put the cd/dvd in the drive start computer go into your bios select boot from cd rom drive and see if it starts to install windows as there might be something in there install package that puts a code on the HDD that lets the bios see it if this dose not work might have to look at finding a bios firmware update that might fix the problem.
