Seeking Simple Menu

Any one have any idea how they get the following sites menus to work? Gifts.com (personality and category tab), target.com (Gift Registries, Women tab), toysrus.com (category, etc tab). Looking for the simple drop down box that allows text or image links...any help would be greatly appreciated.
