Need help with ultimate fade-in slideshow

3) Describe problem:
The slideshow works wonderfully. But I would like to add some indicator to the user that the slideshow is paused when the mouse is on the photo. It could be an oversized pause symbol superimposed over the photo, or maybe a pause/play button at the bottom of an image. Can anyone offer some code that would make this work?

already is configurable for a pause/play button.

And can also be made to otherwise mimic the script you are posting about.
