MySql and MsSql are both databases.
www.mysql.com - free database.
www.microsoft.com - not free database.
A database is a program that allows methodical querying of data by a Structured Query Language (SQL). This allows you to, for example, ask for all data records with a name of "Cow," rather than trying every record to find "Cow" as you would using a structured directory tree.
