How many popular CMS are there at all?

The best that i know are ExpressionEngine and Wordpress.

You already know about the best (ExpressionEngine). The rest falter in comparison.

But, if it's a comparison that you're after check out CMS Matrix (http://www.cmsmatrix.org/). This is by no means an exhaustive list but it lists some of the more relatively popular ones.

Most of the CMS applications out there are absolute rubbish, including a majority of enterprise solutions.
