We are having a problem with a CSS script. The script has sub menus that appear when you mouseover the button. Everything is great in FireFox, however in IE, the last sub menu is cut off.

Can anyone help us troubleshoot this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Place your mouse over the button "advertise", now look at the last sub menu item. It should read "contribution". All you see is "tribution" and the "con" is cut off. Again this only happens in Internet Explorer.

#nav-menu li a#a7 {width: 8em; background: url(Lanitech_Artwork/button_contact2.jpg); background-repeat: no-repeat;}

Yeah, nailed it. I saw vlane95678 was back looking at the thread, though. I wonder why no comment from him/her?

I have a few reasons. LOL it's all good though.

Do tell. Was I too cryptic? I guess I should have said, "Add the highlighted." But I thought that would be obvious to the OP.

How about moving this discussion to the lounge, I don't think it's helping the OP that much (it's confusing the h out of me anyways:p).

Normally that would be proper. However, in this case I happen to know that the OP already has their answer, BLiZZaRD and I were just kidding around.

Alright, don't mind me then.

Main issue Snooker... em vs px.

You put your hand in the cookie jar, you KNOW you like chocolate chip, and cookies in general, but what if you grab a peanut butter by mistake?? What then?

OH! The horror!

We had another person trying to fix the script that Blizz wrote, so he posted here. Blizz acutally fixed the issue and another.

It is sad to say though, the li:hover doesn't work in IE 6 :/ So now the client is getting all kinds of complaints for those who have older browsers. Going to have to post again to find out how to get around this browser issue.

So far we found that we must use a:hover, but not sure how to write that in the current CSS.

IE6 only recognizes the hover attribute on anchor tags. Can you get around it? Sure. Use of jquery, or other JS coding. Tweaking the use of htc files. Etc.

There are a few ways. None of them worth it, none of them elegant. And for your client who is obsessed with 1 pixel differences and other nuances... There will be no pleasing them.

This is why I wrote the CSS to degrade for older browsers, and for CSS and/or images turned off.

Good Luck.
