PHP is a scripting language, so any text editor will do.

Vi? what's that?
The roman numeral for six.
It's a text editor. ;)

which one? does it come with a certain OS?
Heh.
It's a classic UNIX text editor. The modern version is Vim (http://www.vim.org/) (Vi IMproved), which comes with most UNIX-based OSes (Linux, BSD, &c). There's been what amounts to practically a crusade between Vi and emacs (http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/emacs.html) since something like the year dot.
There's a Windows emacs FAQ here (http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/windows/ntemacs.html), and there's a Windows version of Vim on the Vim page.
