Any new advances in this area? What I have is a wireless router in a room (when I say "I" I mean a buddy of mine) and a desktop computer in another room. I want to not run any cables and connect the desktop to the internet through the ethernet port.

Last I looked for something like this all I could find were USB connectors. Is there anything that can work with the ethernet port?

Something like a wifi antenna with an ethernet cable or something?

You can just add a Wireless card (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=136479) to the desktop. Or use something like this (http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-WET11-Wireless-Ethernet-Bridge/dp/B000066JQU).

Yeah, Wireless bridges work great, even for gaming consoles.
