What does 'Put a call to' mean?

Hi, all

I'm experimenting with this font rendering script: http://typeface.neocracy.org/usage.html

and there's a section that says " One way to get around this is to manually put a call to _typeface_js.renderDocument() just before your closing body tag.

I'm new to this, and have no idea what that means, can anyone clarify for me?
