View Full Version : Podcast links
In the tradition of the idea of hmsnacker123 word association game (if only he could bring it to market :D) I like to exchange useful links.
There is so much strain my eyes can take so podcast can take away some of the pain. Anyway to kick off:
XML and Java:
http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~cscie259/lectures/
Dynamic websites:

C lectures

I have no links to add, but I just wanted to say that the Harvard FAS sites are sooo horrible! I teach a class for Harvard Extension and the site is managed by the FAS (faculty of arts and sciences IT dept). It's the most unable suite of sites and utilities on the planet.
You would think that Harvard could do better (especially with some of the really innovative stuff that comes out of the icommons (http://www.icommons.harvard.edu/))

:D professional pride, yes as artist I can understand your view. I'm not an artist and I don't care for aesthetics on the web. Just give me the data and I worry about the aesthetics myself; I use a mixture of tools and some don't have a gui, don't understand css/ javascript or even links.

What better way to learn from the pros. Aren't your classes in the public domain?

Some are, some aren't. The internal-use sites are even worse than the public-facing ones. The resources for the classes I teach are all for registered-students only.
For the record, I teach about nothing related to web design/development.

I feel a david addison line coming up:

Still something with art?
For all revolutionary developers a classic:

If you consider international politics and diplomacy an art, as it most certainly is, than sure.

Now I understand your avatar. Is music and web-development your way of relaxation?
