What's up with the new-fangled red names for some users?

I'm guessing that it's a way to show who's a moderator? That's the only relation I can find with all of the ones I've seen so far.

I'm assuming that it is to identify Mods and Admins, but we all know what happens when you assume things. :)

I think you're pretty safe there with that assumption. I'm not loving the redish/maroonish color though. A blue tinted color might go more with the theme of the forums.
