View Full Version : Resolved Sub Menus off to Right

1) Script Title: All Levels Navigation Menu

2) Script URL (on DD): http://dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/ddlevelsmenu/index.htm

3) Describe problem:

The menu & sub-menus are functional, but the sub-menu appears over to the RIGHT of the main menu.

The .js files and the css files were copied directly with no changes.

There are other style sheets linked to the page, but I can find no conflicting labels between my original style sheet and the navigation sheets.

I figured out that the code is not working properly because the menu is nested within another div.
When I remove the other div, the menu works properly.

The work-around was to remove the RIGHT DIV from my page and change the positioning of the 'sidebar.css' code as follows:

width: 200px; /*width of side bar menu*/
clear: left;
position: absolute; left:300px; top:70px;

Hope this helps someone else.

Or you can just move the HTML for the drop down DIVs to the bottom of the page, right above the </body> tag for example. This is mentioned on the script page.

I did just that as per the instructions and I could not get it to come together.
When I took it out of the other DIV, that's when it immediately functioned correctly.
My knowledge is certainly extremely limited here so I made sure to keep the original code intact before I made any personal changes.

Please post a link to the page on your site that contains the problematic script so we can check it out.

This is the link to the page where I am using the script, though it is the modified version that I had to create to make it work.
