Script: Multiple Level Menus - HV Menu
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/indexc.html
I read the "post it" that specifically mentions that I probably won't get an answer to this, but I'm going to ask anyway, b/c I think the question may apply to DHTML menus in general.
In general, is the internally provided controls on a DHTML menu the only way in which one can control the position on the page? The HV Menu script allows the user to pinpoint the x and y location of the menu, however it is not accurate enough. Although the difference is maybe 1 or 2 px, it appears in slightly different locations In different browsers. Since I have a compact design to my pages, this slight difference is unacceptable.
The current menu that my pages use is based on a table, which seems to force an exact position on the page. Has anyone had a similar problem? - I don't want to have to redesign all of my pages just to accomodate a particular menu bar.
